About Addison, TX - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Twenty minutes north of Dallas you will find Addison, Texas.  Addison is located in Dallas County and borders the cities of Dallas, Carrollton and Farmers Branch. This small town was settled in 1846 with the first house built on White Rock Creek. The town was named after its second postmaster Mr. Addison Robertson. The first mayor here was M.W. Morris and the first industry was cotton. Today 13,000 residents call Addison home. Addison is in the humid subtropical climate zone with hot summers and typically mild winters.

Addison has many exciting entertainment options for residents and visitors. The Cavanaugh Flight Museum is a must see for aviation enthusiasts. The nonprofit museum aims to promote the education of aviation, preserve its history and restore vintage aircraft. Adventure seekers can take a ride in a helicopter, sky raider or a vintage plane for a breathtaking view. Water Tower Theatre in another fantastic destination in Addison. This state of the art facility produces six major productions a year and has received an impressive list of awards since it first opened its doors in 1996. Other attractions in the area include the Mary Kay Museum and the Village on the Parkway.  Visiting one of the many sites in Addison is a great option any time of the year with annual high temperatures averaging 76° and lows at 55°.

The weather conditions here helped this city make the Wall Street Journal’s “The Nice List: Santa’s Top-Five Cities In 2010.” Sources say the multitude of clear days here during the holiday season combined with snow on the ground make ideal navigation conditions for the man in the red suit. You can bet after being out on that sleigh he enjoys taking comfort in homes with furnaces that are well maintained.  Humidity levels in the 80’s and average summer temperatures in the 90’s can mean these residents also depend heavily on air conditioning units for their home comfort needs after an afternoon flight at Cavanaugh’s.

Addison has a nice balance of big city attractions and small town character. With its plethora of hotels, restaurants and shopping opportunities it is one of the Dallas area’s most popular destinations.
