A short thirty minute drive from Dallas on US-75 will land you in Allen, Texas. Allen is part Collin County a suburb north of Dallas. Settlers began arriving in Allen in 1844 and it was named after Ebenezer Allen in 1872. Mr. Allen was in the railroad business and a local politician. For those more adventurous thrill seekers, the Hydrous Wake Parks is the ideal destination. This facility is unique in that it uses cables to pull water skiers and wake boarders across the water instead of a traditional boat. Visitors may also want to check out Cabalas, The Village at Allen or Aurora Images Art for more entertainment fun here in Allen.
Average temperatures in the summer run in the 90’s here in Allen.
